Design and Certification:

Heron Aero develops products that are solutions to maintenance or operational problems.  We design and certify the solution, either by STC  and/or PMA, whichever is the most cost effective.  Production for  the resulting parts and modification kits is performed under our PMA.

PMA for your product:

If you have an STC with parts for sale, we can PMA parts for you against your design.  Contact us.

FAA-PMA:

Heron Aero holds FAA Parts Manufacturing Approval (PMXXXX) which permits it to design, manufacture and approved parts.   We can also provide pass through PMA approval for your parts if the manufacturer has otherwise obtained installation approval and requires PMA.  This avoids the necessity for the part manufacturer to go through the expensive and lengthy PMA process themselves.

Heron Aero current PMA Products include:

Dash 8 LED replacement Annunciators: These annunciators use LEDs as the light source and have connectors instead of solder connections.  They are approved to replace the existing Bombardier incandescent annunciators.  When replacing the existing 99 series annunciators with solder connections, new connectors are installed to facilitate future troubleshooting or replacement.   The new Heron Aero Solutions LED annunciators eliminate light bulb replacement and reduce maintenance down time if the switch body fails.  The following annunciator part numbers are eligible.
